The NDMC Drought Monitor suggests parts of SW VA are “abnormally dry” as of the latest update. 0-100cm soil moister levels across Western NC and SW VA are dry coming in at 5-20%.

We do have rain in the forecast, as a summertime-like setup will be over the area this weekend, creating spotty showers.
