The University of Tennessee Police Department (UTPD) is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Samuel Chugg, a 17-year-old student from Knoxville, who was last seen leaving his residence in West Knoxville on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

According to reports, Chugg’s silver 2017 Toyota Yaris was last observed around 7:45 a.m. near the 2200 block of Cumberland Avenue, heading in the direction of the UT campus. As a current student at UTK, Chugg’s sudden disappearance has raised concerns among the university community.

Described as a 5’7″ white male with brown hair and brown eyes, Chugg possesses a slender build. At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly wearing a blue hoodie paired with whitewashed jeans. A photograph of Chugg has been provided by authorities for identification purposes.
