Hi, I’m Josh. I started GreeneWX back in 2018 using a text messaging service to provide messages and updates to family, friends, and some public members about upcoming weather and severe alerts. As a kid, I was terrified of storms, which later on in life transformed into my love for weather and meteorology. When 2020 hit, I dropped GreeneWX and all projects aside from that due to personal life issues with the pandemic (Covid). Once life started to come back together, I purchased the GreeneWX.com domain in 2021, bringing a source for weather information in Greeneville via the website. While the website was gaining traction, I wanted to put my knowledge of weather towards helping more and more people gain knowledge in their daily weather (Like a news station but just weather) which lead me to start the @greenewx_TN weather account on Twitter in December 2021.

Zooming in to 2022, GreeneWX has formed amazingly. Working with people to get custom forecast graphics, partnering with people/businesses to gain live camera feeds, starting our own GreeneCam Network, and much more. I couldn’t be happier with how things are going. People trust GreeneWX and share our tweets with family and friends, even listeners like 92.5 The Block. My #1 priority is to provide a reliable source of weather information for the 42 counties I/we cover. And I think we are doing just that.

Now at 100+ followers strong, GreeneWX will continue to operate for years and years to come with the plan of building a (small) team to provide continuous coverage of severe weather events, winter events, etc, day in and day out.
